Dance therapy and group psychotherapy research project

Moving and being moved,

 a voyage through group process

In this project we will interweave elements of dance therapy and group psychotherapy in order to experience and share:

  • What makes us move,
  • How we transform ourselves in the contact of others,
  • How the group facilitates psycho-emotional processes,
  • And how the group works as a transformational container.

In this workshop you can experience what it means to feel accepted on a deep level and from there how this regain of energy becomes a generator for positive changes.

We will start with an attunement ritual which purpose is to align everyone’s awareness to a particular mind-set, where the mind is less active and the body is more receptive and open. For each session one participant will start moving in the centre of the group circle, while the others become the observers, the mirrors, the triggers and the providers for safety and sustainment.

Afterwards we will share our experiences, bring to awareness the full content of what happened to the individual and the group on a bodily, emotional and cognitive level.
